Benrik diaries - Give me 3 bottles of whine and teach me to go-go

Holá!

I had good intent with this week, thinking: "this really is my cup of tea."
But what's happened?
Nada, zippo, njet.

Mouthing obscenities to strangers is furthers from my mind. (It's lies a whole lot closer with people I know.)

My best effort so far:
Yesterday (while in character) I told H
"Come here and dance with me you charmer you!"

Yes I know, I'm miles from any naughtiness.

Other: I got this invitation to a masquerade a couple of weeks ago. That's one of my main-weapons against this fucking, cock-sucking cold.
And shit!

The theme is nostalgia and I'm thinking "Cindy Lauper" - no problem in pulling that one of (basically that's me + skirt, bling-bling and maybe a hat). Or should I make it a bit more difficult and go as Margaret Thatcher or some comic?
This is my current favourite problem.

Random thought: I wonder if there's more e-mails then birds flying around?

Joy to the world!

QX diaries - ABC

Benrik diaries - Contact

I lost one of my contacts at the bottom of "Eriksdalsbadet" (bath-house).
Am left with only one.

Swimming will become my new habit. Also it's a good place for mouthing obscenities to complete strangers.
Lots of strangers there - wearing tiny shorts, 60 years and big hairy bellys.
(This task demands responsible devotion.)

Question: at what point does a stranger quit being a stranger? When you know their name?

Got Prague mail:

Hallo!
How are you?
I found your email address finally! I am back in Melbourne and its VERY hot
this weeekend.
I was just playing with my hair as I walked around the house - so I thought
of you. Hi hi.. I DO always play with my hair.. but.. guess where I am going
in an hour.. The Melbourne Airport - to pick someone up!
FUN!
:) He will get a shock from Swedish snow to Melbourne sun.
I hope all is well in your world. Are you in Sweden still?
Take care

In Prague I stayed with H (being a boy) amoung others.
One night me and H and some other people went to this pub. He had meet G (the girl in the letter) the night before and she was there.

I told H I thought that G liked him.
"How can you tell?"
"She playes with her hair when she talks to you."
And then they got together and he told her what I had said about her hair.
She still claims playing with her hair is just something she does, but I'm doubtful.

Benrik diaries - Nostalgia

Ok, so I e-mailed P3 and requested ”Too Shy” - told them a sobby story about how I’d like to hear it just to be reminded of the first and only dance-competition I won as a 10 year old. I got a soda, my first boyfriend, kiss, as well as a diploma ”for my creative yet steady dance-moves”.

This is of course untrue. (I remember winning a slow-dance to ”Carrie” and all we got where these raspberry-flavoured bubblegums). But I had to write something down in order for them to play the song. Like other benrikans I’m thinking air-play might inspire someone else to buy it.

I’ve listened to the album. Honestly, it’s not very good is it?
Well, apart from the ”Too shy”-song.
And... I confess, I got nostalgic after hearing ”Never-ending story” - reminding me of my fairytale-days when I still thought I had some kind of power making me able to talk to animals.
“If only I could figure out how to use it!”

For next week I’ve decided to donate the album.

Well… *tired*

“Bed, bed, bed, sleeping, sleeping, sleeping, bed, bed, bed.”
(That’s actually a lyric, just not a very good one.)

QX diaries - Babar

As a kid I was constantly terrified that my life was a book read by King Babar to his children and that one day he would close it and my life would end.

Benrik diaries - Sometime in early March

A sunny but cold day. I spent 2 minutes of it looking at my desperately red nose in the mirror. Like some kind of stop-sign.

***********************************************

I finally decided on making a small adjustment that might make good things come to me easier. I’ve hesitated to do this before since I've been against the principle of people having it easy just because they’ve got the right name, know the right people or come from the right place. But why this need to make things harder on myself than necessary?
Only because I want people to like me for who I am?
At about 10: 45 it dawned on me that there’s no contradiction between the two.

***********************************************

Yes, I ordered the Kajagoogoo-CD. In fact I found the single for 10 balubas on tradera but buying it there wouldn’t manipulate the charts, so I ordered it the proper way.

I’ve also made a thorough analysis of the lyrics to "Too Shy" and came to the conclusion that it’s all about this guy who's going to the hospital due to an allergic reaction. There he meets a massage-therapist who’s unable to treat him appropriately and in the end he dies.
So sad. *sigh*

***********************************************

And inspired by my benrik partner I will now present stupid-internet-test of the day:
What Breed of Dog Are You?

To my enormous surprise it turns out I’m a Chihuahua:

"No bones about it, you're an energetic, devoted Chihuahua. For your breed, size definitely doesn't matter. After all, sometimes the best things (diamonds, car keys, Godiva truffles) come in small packages. Honest and straightforward, you're never afraid to speak up for what you believe in, especially if it's a cause near and dear to your heart. Having such a passionate personality can come with a few drawbacks, though. You can be moody at times, and people often find it hard to live up to your high standards. But once you make a friend, it's for life. Saucy and intense, your energy and unfailing loyalty make you a great companion. Woof!"

This gave me a frightening inner vision of me on a leach with Paris Hilton at the other end and now I need to recover.
