The adventures of Hilda

Hilda is a different kind of Pin-up, painted by Duane Bryers.

I love most pin-up girls, but Hilda stands out and holds a very special place in my heart.
She's voluptuous - a vibrant red-head who's always up to something. In short she's a true role-model and perhaps the answer to the question of what happened to Pippi Longstockings when she finally grew up? She got renamed to Hilda Longstockings!

Words from MySpace - Thing-finder-searcher

I am great at finding stuff. Just by chance...
On the bus today I found a brand new magazine that someone left behind. Including a free sample of some new schampoo that you just have to pick up in some store.
Anyway, walking back home - feeling kinda excited about todays finding, I thought about Pippi Longstockings and if this is the true herretige of growing up in Astrid Lindgren-country. Red hair, socks that don't match and this great ability for finding stuff. (other findings include a Kum Kum-ring, 2 chairs, a sweater, 2 scarfs etc. etc. and that's just this past 1,5 year!)
You may or may not know that Pippi besides being the strongest girl in the world also claimed to be a thing-finder-searcher.

Of course I'm also tremendously skilled in the art of loosing just about as much as I find.
Lastly my lovely pink and furry gloves.

My name could be Pippilotta Viktualia Rullgardina Krusmynta Efraimsdotter Långstrump, but it's not.
