Words from MySpace - Misfits

So I looked at them and couldn't believe my eyes. 2 old classmates from 16 years ago.
I was surpricingly happy to see them.

School was hellish, for all of us - a bunch of misfits stuck in the evil world we had made for ourselfs. No one felt safe. I didn't even know that was an possibility.
Yes, we were evil, but only in efforts to pretect our prechious selfs. I can see that now. But back then, I just wanted to get out of there. Cause it was like if you had to eat something really bad. You close your eyes, hold your breath and try to swallow as fast as you can.

I don't miss my youth.
Now I had a great time now with those old classmates. We talked about football and but ice in our panties in a kind of jack-ass-like contest.
We also talked about our mutual experience of those days. And althoug both they and I have overcome those days by now, it was very therapytical and resaurectional. I felt great afterwards.

Words from MySpace - The Joker

Most of the time I worry more about other people loosing me than I, myself if I'd ever go lost.

And that's what my daily battle is all about - the pressure about making it through without too much hassel, and then I'll be here for everyone tomorrow again.

Still, for as long as I can remember I always had these thoughts about escaping.

Having gone through all those thoughts over and over again I'm not naive enough to think that view on life is valid base for contentment, which is all I want.. (Happiness is 4 fucking amateurs).
The only one I actually want responsibility for is me, and I'd very much like to take pride in honouring that.

Today, as I was walking home from my parents I thought that one of the more difficult things about being a grown-up is to learn your limitations, know when to ask for help, lower your guard and let someone else fight your battles for you.
Still I struggle with the notion that no one actually would do that for me.
Or... that I might be a Don Quixote (a fool).

Words From MySpace - Advice for the young at heart...

*******************************

...Keep it soft and tender.

*******************************

Tonight I'm all soft inside.
I've noticed I get that way when I see long time friends, it's like when in "Igby Goes Down" his Godfathers wife tells him "Igby... lovely to see you, I could eat you with a spoon".
That's the way I feel about seeing Ida, Henrik and Gen tonight (as well as Linnea and Johanna) I could just squeeze them to death - those people belonging to a complete other part of my life than the usual one.
(I believe curious minds can find the music via www.oklahomo.dk)

*******************************

Oh well.
This is the smartest thing I thought of today:
Today is the rest-day of my life.
That's it!

*******************************

I've also thought about these smart embryos of ingenuity that other people came up with....

- Oliver said (while on the subject of pornography) that those flicks also might have helped spice up peoples sexlife, adding another dimention to the subject.
I'll be the first to admit I've never thought about that aspect of it.

- There was also this woman on the morning news who had written a book on why the Soviet Union fell apart and she made a very good point in asking "Why didn't it fall apart for all those years?" - which if answerd and ponderd upon gives a good hint about the answer to the first question at hand.

Note to self:
When you wonder "Why" something is, always ask: "Why it isn't".

*******************************

I also decided that I actually don't belive that we ever landed on the moon.
Things just doesn't add up.
I've decided on this point of veiw after giving much thought to the following:

1. Why did US and A broadcast the whole event live on television?
If the landing would have been a total disaster, it woud have meant that they would have lost the entire war 'cause the Soviet Union had already had first man (and dog) in space, so for the Americans to win they had to beat that no matter what and beating meant something along the lines of landing on the moon....
(I'd also like to add that much of what happend at that time was a show-off, like the russians having bomb-atraps in their parades when they wanted show-off their guns.)

2. No one ever went back to the moon. Why?
The moon seams like a fairly pretty place to be - just ask the man himself.

*******************************

... And speaking of space, Sweden has our first man up there now. Today he lost his monkey wrench up there while space-walking and trying to fix something.
On the telly they wondered if it would fall down on us at some point?
But it'll just circulate around earth won't it?

Words From MySpace - Carry On!

Today we woke up to a new order. I doubt anything will change much por feel different. Perhaps it's even good, though it's not according to what I myself voted for.

The bowling season started last monday.

Yes I've decided to publish the results of my projects. Although I gave the first one away as a birthdaypresent this past friday. My friend turned 40 and that's not an everyday-thing to do.
She got that bag I did with the inscription: Carry on!

Words From MySpace - Turning 30

Tomorrow should have been my uncles Birthday.
Instead we're burrying him next friday.

My thought is that after that we - meaning the family, needs something nice to gather around. And well... That's my birthday in some so-so time.

Originally my plan was to seperate friends and family. Throw two different events, but now... Well imaginge, the whole family gathering after this. Things feeling weird.
I really think we need other people to shift our focus. Get us back in a somewhat good spirit.

My will to do good knocks me on my shoulder, saying: "Hello! How you doin'?"

Benrik diaries - All day long I thought it was Monday

I’ve chewed on sorrow-crusts till I bled. Unable to make contact with the people I need to get in contact with in order to make the final decision final, about work. But things are looking bright.

To keep my mind away from it during easter-break I went to a Juri Gagarin pub.
First man in space… That’s something.
That’s like being last man on earth but backwards and statistically last man on earth will be a woman named Maria.

*******************

For this benrik-week I’ve starting off playing God - bringing my old make-believe bunny-rabbit back to life. He used to accompany me on my travels in the backseat of my parents car, always jumping over the electrical poles by the road-side. Somehow that made travelling much more interesting for me as an 8-year old. ”Will he be able to jump this one too?” And he always did. (Up till I begun reading books while in the car and thereby started using other peoples imagination instead of my own.)
Now, will the bunny be able to make life as an almost 30-year old person more interesting?
I’m 97% doubtful.
By accident I'll probably kill him off within a couple of minutes.

And speaking of accidents the boyfriend gave me a black eye the other day. Pow!
Ouch!
That felt real.
