HJÄLP!

Jag har fått en uppgift på min universitetskurs om att analysera en reklam med kommunikationsproblem.

Därför letar jag förbrilt efter någon reklam som inte fungerar. Om någon av mina tre läsare vill hjälpa mig så skulle jag tycka att det var kul.

I gengäld lovar jag givetsvis att publicera min fantabulösa analys här.

Safina and other cozy-factors in early November

One of the worlds greatest fighters is playing Venus Williams i Doha today - I'd say that qualifys her for the title Player of the day:

I'd also like to mention, as I'm also a big fan of her brother Marat, that although he's great Dinara by far passed him this year.
Inerestingly enough she used to have the same temprament problem hindering her to play the great tennis she has in her. As he but by some magic blow of the wind, she just overcame it. I really hope she'll be able to win her first Grand Slam next year.

Election-time

Finally it's election-time, should I chose to watch TV or just finnish the Buster Keaton box?

No, serriously... Tonight's the night Obama will be voted president of USA.

I've been somewhat hessitive towards the democratic system in the US for quite some time.
One of the reasons is that a political system can be more or less promoting of ones democratic right to vote. The more people who vote equals the democratic strenght of a political system (corrolating with the number of political parties/candidates you can choose beteen).

Hindrens to a more democratical US

- You have to register to vote!
- Elections are held on a Tuesday (and people have to take time off from work to vote)
- The system is not organized so that it's nececcerily the candidate who gets the most votes who win, there's something called elector-states which can screw up the hole thing.

Fingret:
Det anses fint att när man dricker kaffe så ska lillfingret så rätt ut.
Det anses fint eftersom det var så man gjorde på hovet i frankrike på 1700-talet. På den tiden var frankrike det ballaste som fanns.
Men anledningen till att hovdamerna och herrarna drack kaffe med lillfingret sådär visste man egentligen inte.
Och anledningen var att hovet var ett syndens näste. Resultatet blev därmed att att syfilis var vanligt.
Syfilis gör att lederna stelnar... Därav lillfingret som sticker ut.


Östermalms-dialekten:
Jag har också fått reda på att anledningen till att östermalmarna låter så fåniga är att det tydligen var en väldigt häftig kille som kom till stockholms socitet. Han hade ett talfel som gjorde att han pratade lite konstigt, men snubben var ju cool och därför började man i dom finare salongerna prata precis som honom.

Hot Stuff!

Yesterday I read this article about two brilliantly sharp girls who started a hot line for females on their way home after a late night.
The idea was a hot-line number that we could call and talk to someone while walking on misty roads.

I am not a fan of female self defence courses as they're merely a response to a problem not the solution ("An eye for an eye will make the entire world blind" - Gandhi). as long as we promote these kinds of courses as a solution females will continue being scared late at night., and it will only further feed the inequality between men and women.

On the other end of the scale is these two females solution to the problem of females being scared. Having a friendly voice on the other end of the line.
In fact this line should not only be for females, it should be something for men too, as they're just as much a possible target for being knocked down on their way home.

Så lätt det gick att bli Sverigedemokrat!

Jag var inne på Sverigedemokraternas hemsida, men jag är ingen nazist. Jag hatar inte invandrare eller bögar.

Ändå inträffade det märkliga att när jag väl var där inne så kände jag ett visst stöd för tankegångar om att vissa människor borde sitta i arbetsläger eller gasas ihjäl, eftersom dom tänker fel eller är (genetiskt) felskapta på annat sätt.
Om vi ska lyckas bevara ett fritt svenskt samhälle måste vissa ohärliga element helt enkelt tas ut ur ekvationen.

Just det... SamHall har gått ut med risklarm om att 19 personer som rymt från deras lokaler i Arvika. Sist sågs dom i en skog.
Om ni vet var dom befinner sig uppmanas ni att inte göra någonting alls. Risklarmet är mer att betrakta som en varning än något annat.
